Scott McKeon

Born: 1987

Interests: Sessions, his other bands, football, beer and partying, anything social that's going.

Background: Born in Nottingham, Scott is a multi-instrumentalist and has just achieved a 2:1 on the Creative Sound and Music Degree at the University of Wales College, Newport. Scott is a highly talented and creative tune writer and is also working on a one man band (with a bit of help from fellow OSLers Jack and Baz) called SCKEON. Joe Brady

Whistles

Born: 1992

Interests: Nutella in ASDA's soft, soft white rolls, writing drum and bass music, learning to drive too slowly

Background: Joe is a flute and whistle player extraordinaire as well as a composer of some of the band's tunes. His influences include Brian Finnegan of Flook and Mike McGoldrick. He has been playing since the age of seven. Joe lives near Weston-super-Mare and is currently studying Music Technology and Maths at college.

Burger of choice: Chicken fillet with lettuce and mayo, sometimes partial to a Whopper

Jack Stewart

Guitars (acoustic, electric), bodhran

Born: 1992

Interests: Turtle-naming, buying guitar effects pedals, slapping Baz

Background: Scottish born Jack Stewart’s first instrument was the bodhran, which he first picked up at the age of two. Now living in Caldicot, he has since gone on to become the All British Champion twice. He is also a member of the band Tan Bach, in addition to recently becoming a member of Crimes Against Folk, where he is the youngest member by half, though definitely the most talented.

Pizza Hut base preference: Italian (like soggy cardboard)

 

Mathew "Baz" Barwick

Bass

Born: 1992

Interests: Hair combing, beer, slapping Jack

Background: Baz picked up the bass surreally quickly and has added a fantastic new layer to the band's sound. Baz is also a guitar, mandolin and banjo player. He started writing tunes for the band early on, and more recently has been firing them out. He is a member of Tan Bach and the psychedelic funk band BAKJAZ with his fellow One String Looser Jack. Baz is studying psychology (amongst other things) at A Level. Not that he needs to, being the only member to claim he's amazing at everything.

Burger of choice: XL Bacon Triple Cheese (one better than Double)
